Healthy Food

The other week there was a lot of news about the fact that the Government are going to grant pregnant women a sum of £120 towards buying healthy food. I think this is great!

However, I'm just wondering why this amount will be given to everyone - even those who are very well off? I would love to know what others think about this?

Can u define very well off?
Just because the women are getting the money, does not mean they are going to spend it on healthy food. How often would they be recieving the money? One a month? Once a pregnancy?

Very well off? - footballer's wives - lottery winners, etc.
As I understand, it is a one-off payment that they will receive when they are 7 months pregnant. As you say, they can spend the money on anything - not necessarily healthy food, although that is what it is being granted for.
